Josh Windass assisted each of Moore’s three goals against Coventry as Wrexham earned back-to-back home wins in the league for the first time this season.
Windass, who previously played with Moore at Wigan Athletic, feels Wrexham reaped the rewards of being more assertive against Frank Lampard’s table-toppers.
“With the last few (games), I think we’ve shown teams a little bit too much respect, sitting off a little bit. We pressed a lot higher tonight and were more aggressive. I thought we dominated from start to finish,” the 31-year-old said.
“We’ve got some of the best players in their positions in the division in my opinion.
“We have to show that. Instead of letting teams dominate us, we can be more assertive. We didn’t let Coventry breathe for a moment.”
Windass’ trio of assists means he now has seven goal involvements in 10 Championship appearances this season.
Having seen Wrexham rise into the top half of the table, Windass stressed that he and the club’s other summer signings moved to the Stok Cae Ras to compete with the Championship’s best.
“We want to have success in this division,” he added.
“That’s what I’d assume all of the lads have signed here to do, to be at the top end of this league.”
